Dollhouse 2.09 “Stop-Loss” Recap

Submitted on January 6, 2010 No Comment

Probably in the month of December while Fox was busy making ample of efforts to harm the episodes of “Dollhouse” but all his efforts went in vain. As there was a remarkable and incredible improvement in the series. It was beyond the expectations of everyone, nobody might have dreamt about its excellence. According to my assessment I seriously believe that the smooth and swift start of the first season has acted as an invitation for its success. No doubt, the questionable choice of beginning point of the story stands as one more feather in a cap.

Dollhouse

This wasn’t over, there were different facets to the story which can be viewed in full series. Every situation was unwrapping a new twist, which was in different situations and ways. It not only emphasized on the issues related to Victor and Sierra, but it also lime lighted the world which was tele commuted in “Epitaph One” and Echo’s journey of self-discovery. (The writer said when they are absolutely right they will inform the second season of tie into “Epitaph One”.)

At the end of the day, Rossum has Dollhouse network ready with him to take over the world through mind control on high priority along with the entire mercenary army in development. For illustration few clips of same technology have been telecast-ed, which served the need of instances how the Echo’s development has made her beyond the control of Rossums. It also unwrapped the facts that the enormous majority of human population hasn’t apposed the technology but simply followed the bandwagon.

Victors return story is quite interesting, especially all the connections made to “Belonging” and Priya’s ordeal. It was a cold feet moment for me when I learned that the main intention of Tophers leaving Priya was to erase the memory of Victor. Which continued to show that Topher is developing a human sense of morality. Beyond the shadow of doubt at the end it will make him sick.

Victor’s and Rossum’s connection was a conspiracy, I liked this part as it has aroused the interest within me. Boyd and Topher initiated without Adele’s being accompanying them but very soon they were shocked to their notice when they received the harsh response. Seems like they haven’t learned the lesson from the Adele’s experience. If they might have understood it then they would have understood it that the Rossum will keep a eagle eye on them.

Dollhouse

In my opinion, she attempts to judge the aspects that could be held in high esteem irrespective of Adele’s actions. According to me, she knows Echo’s fine qualities more than that of sensing the minds of Boyd or Topher by making them to believe. Also, her act of letting Echo, Victor and Sierra to the Attic reveals her covert plan. On an ultimate note, she must have known already that the intensity of relationship between Dolls is abnormal after she got dejected when her lover has departed from her for Sierra.

I opine that the reason why Rossum has taken over the reigns of the Los Angeles branch was due to the insight that Adele has got regarding the freeing of Victor and Priya. However, it is totally rubbish when one considers Adele’s enhanced protection measures for the Dolls. In this situation, the only possibility was to display her view that she has got no preference about her letting the house go berserk one more time.

Adele should have perceived beforehand that the analogy of contemplating at the makeover of Dolls and the rest for the Attic wouldn’t fetch similar results as that of Echo and company. This provides strong evidence that Victor as well Sierra were not in a position to accept for them even. Hence, it appears that Adele’s intention is to hold Echo in such a manner that it will reveal her worth for an everlasting period.

Considering the present situation, the choices for Adele are very limited. This even after assessing the situation that just two episodes of the entire finale of the series will remain after Echo’s term comes to the brink of closure in the Attic. This provides enough time for the streamlining of results. I don’t think this could be entertained that easily. If Echo comes out of the Attic (which might happen and is a sure outcome) Adele, besides her house, may not get the punishment she was thought to get.

I have said at a prior instance also that this segment of the whole series is not going to conclude on a positive note. Due to the current acts of Echo, the future has now turned out to be gloomy. She stopped Rossum either. The only possibility now is that only those characters, which we have known well, will end up surviving and will find an ultimate place in the sanctuary. Irrespective of the outcome of these results, the final realization is that the story will not end positively.
